About this Blog

Meet my very 1st horse, Lazarus.
I couldn't wait for Santa anymore or ask one more time for a pony for my bday (after age 30 it got embarrassing). I took matters in my own hands and I finally decided to pick a pony that needed a new home. Laz found me as I contemplated with this idea. He was sweet yet very sassy, fresh off the track, Thoroughbred (OTTB).

Spring Toes

My Arab looking OTTB
Had to pull out the soaking boot with clean trax a couple of weeks ago.
Either an abscess popped or something was causing him to be a bit foot sore. Prior to our starting them back on the grass pastures too :/
I did find a hole/thrushy spot in his RH frog so this soak cleaned it out
After the soak I booted him, and here he was napping the next morning
I walked over and rubbed his back and hips and he groaned and stretched
Sweet boy
He was walking 99% better so I unbooted him

Laz has mostly shedded out his winter coat
Looking back at some noise on our walk.
He still needs a bath and a mane trim but he is shiny on his own accord!

  2. I'm loving both the pictures of your horse and of your brunch. Mmmm mmmm one of my fave food ever! Congrats to your hubster. It's always nice to squeeze a graduation in between horseback rides! Why not have the BEST of everything?
