About this Blog

Meet my very 1st horse, Lazarus.
I couldn't wait for Santa anymore or ask one more time for a pony for my bday (after age 30 it got embarrassing). I took matters in my own hands and I finally decided to pick a pony that needed a new home. Laz found me as I contemplated with this idea. He was sweet yet very sassy, fresh off the track, Thoroughbred (OTTB).

Barn Sitting

I was on horse duty while the BO's took a week long vacation.
I call it my Barn Two a days.
While it can prove to be tiring (driving 40 minutes each way, twice a day, during my full work week) it also is the BEST way to start/end my day.

Mason was my loyal barn companion. He loved, loved, loved getting to go the barn this much and was TIRED from it. It's a lot of an 11 year old Lab to be a farm dog ;)

Driving through the front pasture...
Laz sniffing his wary brother
There are 3 huge stalls and they choose to nap together...
Pony highlights in the am sunlight
Wrapping up one evening with a selfie
Tucking Tinkerbelle into her stall for the evening while the two big boys go out to graze
A feather in his path...what does that mean? Good things I hope :)

One evening, a slow meander out to the large pasture...spoiled.Pony.Alert.

One evening Laz running around like a fool getting excited for the big turnout. They are on 24/7 turnout on short grass but only 9-12 hrs on the larger pastures
"OK serieeesly, can Iz go out now to eatz?"

Pudgie is NOT a fan of the barn. He much prefers a lap or a pillow
