About this Blog
Meet my very 1st horse, Lazarus.
I couldn't wait for Santa anymore or ask one more time for a pony for my bday (after age 30 it got embarrassing). I took matters in my own hands and I finally decided to pick a pony that needed a new home. Laz found me as I contemplated with this idea. He was sweet yet very sassy, fresh off the track, Thoroughbred (OTTB).

Ah! The joys of winter/spring :) At least he had a good time :)
ReplyDeleteAt least he gets outside! I almost wish for a muddy pony, just so she can get out!
ReplyDeleteWhat a silly boy. I hope he had fun getting that dirty!
ReplyDeleteHey, that is his spa treatment! Didn't you know that people pay hundreds of dollars for mud wraps/facials/etc. at exclusive spas? He is saving you money AND moisturizing his skin! ;-)
ReplyDeleteP.S. Did you trim his forelock? It looks very layered!
I like to think that a dirty horse is a happy horse. If they feel comfortable enough to lie down and sleep or roll then I'm pretty happy too :)
ReplyDeleteI'm convinced that Laz has the greatest forelock ever.
ReplyDeleteLOL, NO that forelock self trims to an 80's 'Sun-In' frizzed rocker bangs puff!!
ReplyDeleteHATE it...
In fact, the other day I debated just CUTTING it off all together but I thought I'd leave it for winter to protect his cranium lol!
LOL, I give you credit for cleaning him!! My boys looked like pig pens the other day!!! And I played with them and then I turned them back out just as dirty! My bad, but they didn't care, LOL. Love us!!!
ReplyDeleteI think horses prefer to be dirty! Every time I groom or bathe (in summer) Shy, she just rolls around in dirt as soon as she can.
ReplyDeleteAnd Laz's forelock IS cute!
Laz looks like a professional mud-applier!
ReplyDeleteDude, I SO don't get their mud baths! Miles and Chamie roll roll roll, but then when I bring them in they are like, desperate to scratch their mud encrusted faces off on me, the stall door, anything! Also, all my boots and coats stink now:) It's a good thing they are so adorable, yes? Also, I have always loved Laz's forelock-he totally rocks it!
ReplyDeleteRofl @ a self trimming forelock!
ReplyDeletePleeeeeeeaaase don't cut it off--it's SO cute & totally Laz! It's his tribute to White Snake, lol.
HA! So funny that muddy Laz. He is adorable, mud and all. So glad he likes to give your arm a workout! You curry and he rolls then repeat. Gotta love a mudpie boy.
ReplyDeleteVery cute!
