About this Blog

Meet my very 1st horse, Lazarus.
I couldn't wait for Santa anymore or ask one more time for a pony for my bday (after age 30 it got embarrassing). I took matters in my own hands and I finally decided to pick a pony that needed a new home. Laz found me as I contemplated with this idea. He was sweet yet very sassy, fresh off the track, Thoroughbred (OTTB).

Head shots

How about this Glamor Shot?! I mean, really???
I have to get this printed and framed and a Tshirt made, and a button, and maybe wrap my car with this image.  Seriously-what a handsome boy.  What a classic TB face.
Again, thanks to my sister for her talents! It's so fun going through all my images slowly.
Classic beauty

And these are like Horse polaroids, lol!
He look almost cartoon like
"who's there?"
"Why are you down there making clicking noises, girl who looks like my Mom?"
"Have I shown you my Llama impression?"
Sigh...

And back to reality.  I was able to do more Parelli games with Laz but it was a quick session, I've been so busy with work, but he was great and is really learning fast!!!
I intend to spend some goood QT with this Bay this weekend.
My BO texted me these pictures right after I left
"Clean side"
YIKES
"Dirty side"
This boy LOVES the mud.  Thank god he's not a Grey...

  3. Look at the hind end on that guy! All that walk-trot work sure is showing! I also haven't forgotten about my promise of the dvd's! Life has been running away with me, but I'll get them out soon!

  4. Too funny that. dirty and clean side!
My hands and arms ache...just seeing him!
Though I do love them to get themselves all mucky...I'd rather pay the blanket cleaner $35(once a yr) than the physical theriapist $80- every 4 weeks!

Loved the shots of him...he is so classic and gorgeous!
You reminded me of something I saw yesterday, on the drive in from the stable. A van...with a magnet on the back the size of my Equine View Photography Sticker that said, "Advertise here, $50 a Mo. I drive 500 mi a week". Pretty rich-um think we can advertise for ourselves!!

I liked your idea of a mug or sticker...do it, I did, my mare travels with me, everytimne I get in my truck!(Cafe Press-all the way!)
YOU and the Bay man- have a fantastic wkend!

  5. What a shiny boy in the first pic.
Hey not all greys stay dirty when they roll. Indigo has teflon fur I am sure of it. The dirt dries and brushes right off. Then again I have never met a horse with as soft and slick a fur coat as her. She does love her mud though.

  6. Oh boy are you going to have your grooming work cut out for you! I don't know why horses love the mud as much as they do, lol.

He looks adorable in his pictures; my favorite one is the one taken directly below him...cute!

  8. Hey, Laz was just giving himself a spa-day with a nice, theraputic mud bath!
    Here's that video I referred to earlier -- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oHQczRbBHxI
Now, I think some of the stuff he's doing is quite idiotic, no matter how good a horseman you are...but this man has such an amazing bond with his horse. It's inspiring!!
(And, of course, I just have to say -- don't try this at home, and wear your helmets, kids!)

  9. Oh such cute pictures of the big boy. His aunty sure captured the funny faces! And your BO captured the mud. Frustrating mud...everytime I clean it off they roll again. Yesterday I groomed both boys and stopped to eat lunch and went back to tack up...and mud on the Sovey bad boy! What a bird he is! Enjoy your QT this weekend!
